Starlu began with a simple idea: some feelings are too meaningful for ordinary words. A star dedication is a personal way to hold a person, a memory or a moment close.

Our inspiration comes from those who study the night sky and those who find meaning in its stories: astronomy's observations and astrology's traditions each have a different place in our imagination.

THE SYZYGY PROJECT

A story that begins in 1976.

In the story, Project Syzygy began in 1976, in the basement of an unnamed European university. Statisticians, computer scientists and astrologers used the mainframe computers of the era to explore possible links between planetary cycles, economic crises and collective behaviour.

The group believed it had found recurring patterns. The story describes the team leaving conventional academia, erasing its traces and continuing its work anonymously.

The Archivist

The last link to the original team, safeguarding the punched cards and the algorithms of 1976.

The Quant

Turning celestial movements and ephemerides into data to search for patterns.

The Interpreter

Listening for a signal in the noise and interpreting the old models for a new era.

Within this narrative, Starlu is imagined as the modern digital continuation of that work. No predictive models are available in this preview.

Is this an official astronomical star name?+

Once the service is active, Starlu plans to send each customer's proposed name to the IAU after an approved purchase. The IAU does not offer purchased star names or recognize names sold commercially. The dedication is therefore symbolic, and submitting a proposal does not constitute an official registration. No purchases or submissions take place in this preview.

Can I personalize my gift?+

Yes. In this preview you can add a name, date, constellation and personal message.

Can I order today?+

This is a private concept preview. Payments, star assignment, a permanent registry and delivery are not active yet.
